    You are so right about how difficult open-ended writing prompts are for kids with reading and writing deficits. Thank you for all your blogs and tidbits. I am now a retired special ed teacher and had the good fortune to attend a conference in our state (Utah) where you spoke some years ago. I signed up at that time for the weekly emails and have been following you ever since. I like your straight talk about kids and their learning and behavior challenges. It makes sense.
